I am an Ethical 5 Star licensed breeder with Wigan Council (AL0095) of Australian Labradoodles, Labradoodles and miniature Dachshunds. I have been breeding these wonderful breeds since 2009, and still have my first female and grand Dam Lucy, All my dogs are pets first and all stay after they retire from breeding. I have 6 generations of these amazing dogs. All puppies are born and raised in the house, ensuring every puppy is well socialised, with both other dogs, and everything they could come into contact with in a busy home.
Being a licensed breeder means that all my dogs, processes and premises are regularly checked by both an official and their appointed independent vet, to ensure that the dogs and puppy welfare is paramount and the environment is a healthy one for them to flourish. Being awarded 5 Stars is the highest award a council can award, I am very proud that Wigan have this level of confidence with everything I do to give me this rating. All my dogs are brought up on a high quality raw diet which I make myself to give them a fantastic start, and assist them in being super healthy and fit with glossy coats and bright eyes and lots of energy, and to avoid any allergies that other foods can sometime cause. My dogs are all tested and are clear for over 200 genetic conditions that could affect each breed and the larger sizes are hip and elbow scored, to ensure all puppies are clear of hereditary conditions that could affect them in later life.
The Miniature Dachshund
I breed adorable miniature smooth-haired Dachshunds, all KC registered and fully health tested. These little pups may be small, but their personalities are larger than life! They are not for the faint hearted, a Dachshund can be stubborn, opinionated, vocal and driven. However, you will find it hard to find a more loyal, loving, devoted dog who although small in stature, have massive personalities and love curling up under a blanket with you, just as much as a country walk. Don't let their short legs fool you - they've got energy to spare! They're notorious for their love of burrowing and digging, so don't be surprised if you find them tunnelling under blankets or pillows. Dachshunds are a joy to have around, bringing endless love, laughter, and companionship to their owners' lives. Just be prepared for their quirky personalities and be ready to embrace the unique challenges and rewards that come with owning one of these lovable little dogs.
The Australian Labradoodle
Australian Labradoodles are gentle, loyal, and sociable. They are not aggressive, are very good with children and are incredibly intelligent and quick to learn. In fact, Australian Labradoodles are widely used as therapy and service dogs. Mainly because they’re so universally friendly, gentle, and easy to train. They are naturally very playful, they enjoy time with their human families. They are active dogs who need a large amount of daily activity. They should not be left alone or in crates for too long. Australian Labradoodles grow to around 20 inches tall and weigh about 19kg. They can have one of two coat types. Either fleece-textured or wool-textured. Fleece-textured coats are soft and either straight or wavy. They can also have spiral-shaped curls.
Wool-textured coats feel—you guessed it!—like wool! And they’re usually curly. Australian Labradoodles are often described as teddy bear-like. And this certainly adds to their appeal!
The Labradoodle
Labradoodles closely resemble Australian Labradoodle. The Labradoodle has one Poodle parent and one Labrador parent. But the Australian Labradoodle blends six different parent breeds. Labradoodles are kind and affectionate with plenty of energy and a playful nature, making them an ideal family dog. They vary in size, depending on whether their Poodle parent is a standard, miniature, or toy. Labradoodles tend to be higher-energy than the calmer Australian Labradoodle. That’s why proper training and socialisation from an early age are so important. Labradoodle Coats tends to come in 4 types,
short coated (like the Labrador), scruffy coated (both of which can shed), curly (like the poodle) or wavy. They come in a range of colours from cream, champagne apricot, red chocolate to black. Be aware that while many Labradoodles are billed as ‘hypoallergenic’, no dog truly meets this description!
